Trading from our Web Site
Making sure you can buy safely online is a priority for us and we have made strenuous efforts to ensure that store security is one of our highest priorities and we have devoted a great deal of effort to ensure that our online security measures help to safeguard your information.
When you order goods from us, we will store the following information about you:

- The delivery address(es) for your order(s)

We may contact you regarding your order, but once your order has been fulfilled we will only contact you again in the future if we have your consent to do so. If you provide this consent, you will always be given the chance to withdraw it in the future.
All payments by credit card over the internet are processed through a secure server by our distribution company, BEBC Distribution (‘BEBC’), on our behalf. We do not handle your credit card information.
We do not carry out any online transactions. BEBC carries out all credit card transactions on our behalf. BEBC does not provide us with any customer credit card details. Transactions will be subject to any terms and conditions BEBC may impose. The Privacy Policy of BEBC is as follows:
All Commonwealth Secretariat orders are processed by BEBC Distribution on our behalf.
Under the provisions of The Data Protection Act 1998, BEBC Distribution is obliged to retain customers' bank or credit card details in a secure place and only for as long as it takes either to complete delivery of your order or to initiate a refund in the event that any book(s) from your order become permanently unavailable. Any such refunds will be made directly into a customer's bank account where cheques accompanied the original order.
Under no circumstances will BEBC divulge any details of customer's financial information to any third party.
Information relating to the transaction, including credit card details, may be held on secure servers owned by BEBC. For the avoidance of doubt, we do not hold any customer credit card details on any of our servers or on premises that are owned or occupied by us.
Whilst we take every precaution to protect the information you supply, no data transmission over the internet can be guaranteed to be 100% secure. As a result, we make no warranty as to the security of any information you transmit to us. You transmit information to us at your own risk.
We have no desire to infringe your privacy while using our site and we will never provide your personal information to anyone else except if we sell our business in whole or in part.
Companies perform functions on our behalf, such as fulfilling orders, delivering packages, sending postal mail etc. They have access to personal information needed to perform their functions but may not use it for other purposes.
The Secretariat will release personal information where it believes such release is appropriate to comply with the law, enforce or apply our Terms and Conditions and other agreements, or protect the rights, property or safety of the Secretariat or users, or others.

We do not use cookies for collecting user information from the site and we will not collect any information about you except that required for system administration of the web server and otherwise as described above.
