Description
The Commonwealth Association for Corporate Governance was established in 1998 to promote good standards in corporate governance and business practice throughout the Commonwealth, and to facilitate the development of appropriate teaching institutions to further this end. These guidelines set out 15 principles of corporate governance that apply to boards of directors of all business enterprises – public, private, family or state owned. They are designed to facilitate best practice and behaviour, and are complementary to the OECD Principles of Corporate Governance, with special attention paid to emerging and transition economies in the global market.
